302 Plasma Instructions

#1 Post by mchristo »

The plasma screen has a raspberry pi attached to the back to play video. It's loaded with an open source project called raspbmc. http://www.raspbmc.com

1. Your video needs to be prepared properly for it to play smoothly. It should be 1920x1080 HD. It should be a quicktime.mov file using h264 as codec.
2. Once you have the video prepared properly simply place it in the users/shared/plasma folder on the art-tech-lab server. *note that's the "lab" server
3. If you 're in the 306 lab the share should pop up on your desktop if your finder preferences are set to show connected servers.
4. If your video isn't prepared properly I will not send it to the pi… sorry.
