HiPerGator Course Request (for faculty)

#1 Post by jstenner »

If you'd like to include HiPerGator access for your class, Research
Computing requires two weeks before the beginning of the semester to set
things in motion. You can begin the process here:
https://www.rc.ufl.edu/get-support/clas ... g-support/

You'll submit a "support request" using their help system via the link
on the page above. As an example, here's what I recently submitted for
my Experimental Cinema class (which optionally involves AI):

-------
I would like to request a course allocation to support a Spring '23 class:

Course prefix and number:
ART4630C (undergraduate) & ART5930C (graduate) Advanced Video:
Experimental Cinema

Course instructor(s): Dr. Jack Stenner
Course TA(s): Samuel Aye-Gboyin
Expected enrollment: 13
Resources needed: standard allocation with 14 GPUs (total)
If you would like an orientation by Research Computing staff: NO -- many
of these students will have had Experiments in AI this Fall.
-------

They'll follow up with a request for a list of students and their gator
username and you'll need to attest that they'll follow UF Acceptable Use Guidelines.
That's it!
The master of disaster!
